Thai Young Executive Delegation Visit China
At the invitation of CPAFFC, Prof. Chaisit Trachoetha, Chairman of the Thai National Commission of Audit, led a 39-person Thai young executive delegation to visit China during from 19 to 23. The delegation visited Beijing and Sichuan for the 2016 Thai-Chinese Young Executive Exchange Program (TCYEY). Mr. Chen Yuan, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC met the delegation. Mr. Li Xikui,   Secretary-General of CPAFFC, Mrs. Chen Fang, Vice Chairman  of CPPCC Sichuan Provincial Committee, Mr. Li Meng, Vice President of Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Mr. Zhao Ping, President of Sichuan People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries had met with or hosted banquets for the delegation respectively. The delegation attended the 2016 Thai-Chinese Young Executive Exchange Meeting in Beijing and the Thai-Chinese (Sichuan) Young Executive Entrepreneur Exchange Meeting in Chengdu. They visited Beijing Zhongguancun Entrepreneurship Street, the Hanergy Holding Group, Chengdu Industrial incubator for New and High technology and Chengdu Tianfu City-Planning Museum. Following the “Buddy” model, the young executives from China and Thailand had in-depth exchanges with each other. Some enterprises reached consensus on trade cooperation and further enhanced the friendship between Chinese and Thai young people. Vice President Song Jingwu Visits Scotland of the UK
Vice President Song Jingwu of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) led a delegation to Scotland,UK from Sept 20th to 23rd at the invitation of the Scotland China Association. During the visit, the delegation met with Mme Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland, Mr Mark Boyce, Head of International Relations of the Scottish Government, Janice Dickson, Chairman of the Scotland China Association(SCA) respectively, and attended the SCA’s members’ meeting. Vice President Song Jingwu Meets with Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland
On Sept 21st, the visiting Vice President Song Jingwu of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) met with Mme Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland, at the Scottish Parliament. First Minister Sturgeon extended welcome to Vice President Song’s visit, and expressed gratitude to CPAFFC for its hospitality and great support to her previous visit to China in July 2015. Vice President Song forwarded CPAFFC’s President Li Xiaolin’s regards to First Minister Sturgeon, and invited her to visit China next year. The two sides exchanged views on the current situation of the UK and facilitating friendly exchanges between China and Scotland. CJFA President Tang Jiaxuan Meets with Japanese Liberal Democratic Party “SHISUIKAI” Youth Lawmaker Delegation
CJFA President Tang Jiaxuan met in Beijing with Japanese Liberal Democratic “SHISUIKAI” Youth Lawmaker delegation led by Mr. NAGASAKI KOTARO, Member of Japanese House of Representatives on September 20th. Both sides exchanged their opinions on the issues that concerned them both, such as Sino-Japanese relations. President Tang Jiaxuan said that the current bilateral relations was improved on the whole. During the G20 Hangzhou Summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping had an official meeting again with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan. Both sides reached a consensus on putting aside disruptions and propelling bilateral relations back on to the track of normal development. The Chinese side always pays attention to and improves the bilateral ties in the spirit of reviewing the history and looking into the future and on the basis of four political documents and four-point principled agreement. President Tang hoped that the youth lawmakers could inject positive energy and vitality into the improvement and development of China-Japan relations. NAGASAKI KOTARO thanked President Tang for taking time to meet him and handed over the personal letter written by Legislator NIKAI TOSHIHIRO of Liberal Democratic Party to President Tang. NAGASAKI KOTARO expressed that they are willing to learn more about China’s development and changes and exchange with all parts of China through visiting. TAKEBE ARATA, Member of Japanese House of Representatives, said that they would inherit the friendship made by the older generations, strengthen the exchanges, promote the cooperation benefited them both and endeavor to bring the distance of the two peoples’ heart closer so as to make contributions on the peaceful development of Asia and even the world. Mr. Yuan Mindao, Director-General of Department of Japanese Affairs of CPAFFC and Secretary General of CJFA, Mr. Huang Yihua, Deputy Director-General of Bureau II (Northeast Asian and Indo-china Affairs) of International Department, Central Committee of CPC, Mr. ITO KOICHI, Minister of the Japanese Embassy in China, attended the meeting .

Vice President Song Jingwu Meets with Chairman of Ee Hoe Hean Club
On September 19, CPAFFC Vice President Song Jingwu met with Mr. Kok Khoo Phua, President of Ee Hoe Hean Club and Singapore-China Friendship Association, and his delegation. Mr. Song firstly conveyed regards to Mr. Phua from CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin and Vice President Lin Yi.  Mr. Song said that Ee Hoe Hean Club is one the oldest Chinese clubs in Singapore. When Mr. Tan Kah Kee acted as President, Ee Hoe Hean Club rendered valuable support to the Chinese people’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. In the meantime, the Singapore-China Friendship Association has been maintaining close coordination with CPAFFC and played a positive role in enriching the content of “10+1” people-to-people exchanges. We are willing to join with the Singapore side and make unremitting efforts in promoting the healthy development of bilateral relations. Mr. Phua said that the purpose of his visit is exchanging view with the Chinese side in jointly shooting a film on Mr. Tan Kah Kee’s glorious deeds, hosting international seminar on Mr. Tan Kah Kee’s spirit and spreading Chinese culture through distributing the magazine “Yihe Shiji” published by Ee Hoe Hean Club. Mr. Song sang a high praise for the above proposals and expressed willingness to give support.

Vice President Song Jingwu Meets with Chairman of the Board of Amundi Asset Management
Mr. Song Jingwu, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), met in CPAFFC with Mr. Xavier Musca, Chairman of the Board of Amundi Asset Management and his delegation and gave a banquet to them on September 19th.  Vice President Song Jingwu made a brief introduction about the general situation of CPAFFC and replied the questions raised by the delegation about the challenges China economy encountered and measures taken to deal with. Xavier Musca said that the results had achieved in the field of China economy development drew the attention of the world and were impressing since the 30 years of reform and opening up. Although the progress of the development encountered some difficulties, it was “Growing Pains”. There will be three advantages for China economic development in the future , such as talented people, technique and market. Both sides expressed that they are willing to common promote China-France economics, trade and finance cooperation. They also discussed the topic on the United Kingdom’s leaving from the European union and the influence on EU and China.

Vice President Song Jingwu Meets with Head of External Relations, Scottish Government
On Sept 19th, Mr Song Jingwu, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) met with Ian Mitchell, Head of External Relations of the Scottish Government. Vice President Song extended welcome to Ian Mitchell’s visit to China, and exchanged views on topics of common interest with him. Mitchell thanked the CPAFFC for attaching great significance to the work with the UK, Scotland in Particular. He also discussed how to promote China-Scotland relations through economic, cultural, educational, and tourist exchanges. Deputy Director General of the European and Asian Department Ms Zhang Ruoning attended the meeting.

Mr. Arken Imirbaki, Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China Meets with Mr. Fahd Allumaie, Fomer Vice Chairman of the Kuwait National Assembly
Mr. Arken Imirbaki, Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China met with Mr. Fahd Allumaie, Former Vice Chairman of the Kuwait National Assembly on 14th September 2016. Mr. Arken welcomed the visit of Mr. Fahd to China. He introduced the friendship cooperation between China and Kuwait in all fields as well as the China Arab Friendship Association. He hoped that the two countries could continue to carry out exchanges in the fields of parliament, business, trade and culture etc. to further promote the development of bilateral relations.    Mr. Fahd thanked the warm reception extended to them. He said that, China-Kuwait relations boasted a long history, with sound cooperative relations maintained both at the governmental and non-governmental levels. Kuwait is among the first Arab countries to establish diplomatic relations and conduct economic and trade exchanges with China. He called for the two sides to strengthen exchanges and promote friendly cooperation in all fields.  Other members of the delegation also expressed their willingness for closer cooperation with China and explore new ways of cooperation in the fileds of trade and economy, communication, banking and others. Mr. Peng Keyu, Vice President of Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Sun Xueqing, Deputy Director General of Department of Asian & African Affairs of the CPAFFC were also present at the meeting.

Mme. Gu Xiulian, President of China-ASEAN Association Meets with Thai Guests
On September 13, Mme. Gu Xiulian, President of China-ASEAN Association met with Mme. Chansamorn Wattanavekin, the Founding Chairman of Thai Women’s Federation and the representatives of the Chinese training course of prominent entrepreneurs from Bangkok College, Beijing Language and Culture University. Mme. Gu said that there is a solid public support for the bilateral ties, and the Chinese-Thai friendship could not develop without the active participation of personages from all walks of life. She expressed her admiration for the positive efforts by Mme. Chansamorn Wattanavekin and her family in promoting the bilateral people-to-people exchanges. She also thanked the high-level entrepreneurs’ for their enthusiasm in Chinese language and culture, and their devotion to the Chinese-Thai friendship cause. Mme. Chansamorn Wattanavekin said that there is a broad prospect for cooperation in various fields,especially the cooperation between the women of the two countries. Thai Chinese Women Association and other sectors in Thailand  appreciate the “Chinese Dream” and the “Two Centenary Goals”proposed by the Chinese leader. They are willing to forge a closer cooperation with the Chinese side and make unremitting endeavor to the peace and development of the two countries.  Both sides also reviewed the development of bilateral ties and people-to-people exchanges between China and Thailand, and discussed on promoting cooperation in trade and economy, women and the youth.
