Mr. Arken Imirbaki, Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China met with Mr. Fahd Allumaie, Former Vice Chairman of the Kuwait National Assembly on 14th September 2016.

Mr. Arken welcomed the visit of Mr. Fahd to China. He introduced the friendship cooperation between China and Kuwait in all fields as well as the China Arab Friendship Association. He hoped that the two countries could continue to carry out exchanges in the fields of parliament, business, trade and culture etc. to further promote the development of bilateral relations.   

Mr. Fahd thanked the warm reception extended to them. He said that, China-Kuwait relations boasted a long history, with sound cooperative relations maintained both at the governmental and non-governmental levels. Kuwait is among the first Arab countries to establish diplomatic relations and conduct economic and trade exchanges with China. He called for the two sides to strengthen exchanges and promote friendly cooperation in all fields. 

Other members of the delegation also expressed their willingness for closer cooperation with China and explore new ways of cooperation in the fileds of trade and economy, communication, banking and others. Mr. Peng Keyu, Vice President of Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Sun Xueqing, Deputy Director General of Department of Asian & African Affairs of the CPAFFC were also present at the meeting.
