Vice President Song Jingwu Meets Katarzyna Kacperczyk, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Republic of Poland
  CPAFFC Vice President Song Jingwu met with Katarzyna Kacperczyk, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Poland and her delegation on July 10, 2015.  Tadeusz Chomicki, Ambassador of Poland to China attended the meeting. Vice President Song Jingwu said, the 3rd Poland-China Regional Forum co-hosted by CPAFFC, Lodzkie Regional Government of Poland and the Polish Ministry of Development and Infrastructure was held successfully before long. He thanked the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lodzkie Regional Government and Lodzkie Municipal Government for supporting the forum. He said that CPAFFC would like to continually promote the development of the mechanism of Poland-China Regional Forum and achieve win-win results within the framework of “One Belt and One Road” and “16+1”. He also expressed CPAFFC would keep close contact with the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Polish Ministry of Development and Infrastructure and  Embassy of the Republic of Poland in China on the 4th Poland-China Regional Forum which will be held in China. Deputy Minister Katarzyna Kacperczyk thanked CPAFFC for its contribution to the 3rd Poland-China Regional Forum and spoke highly of the important role of the forum played in the development of China- Poland strategic partnership. She said, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will support the 4th Poland-China Regional Forum and hope to strengthen the cooperation with CPAFFC. She expected the 4th Poland-China Regional Forum will achieve more pragmatic results.

Vice President Xie Yuan Meets with H.E. Ioane Naivalurua, Fiji Ambassador to China
Vice President Xie Yuan meeting with Fiji Ambassador to China On July 8, Vice President Xie Yuan met with H.E. Ioane Naivalurua, the new Fiji Ambassador to China. Vice President Xie expressed welcome to His Excellency and that our association would like to further strengthen the cooperative relationship with the embassy and deepen the friendship of our two countries through sister cities and people-to-people exchanges. Taking the oppotunity of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between our two countries, His Excellency emphasized that he is willing to work together with our association to continue expanding and deepening pragmatic cooperation on tourism, trade and people-to-people exchanges during his term, especially in the field of sports and youth exchanges.

Banquet in Celebration of 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Bolivia Diplomatic Relations held in Beijing
On July 8th, the CPAFFC held a banquet marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bolivia in Diao Yutai State Guesthouse. Mr. Wang Chao, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Xie Yuan, Vice President of CPAFFC and H.E. Mr. Guillermo Chalup, Ambassador of Bolivia to China attended the banquet.   Mr. Xie Yuan said in his speech that during the last 30 years, China and Bolivia have kept the rapid development of bilateral relations. Both sides deepened their political mutual trust, and strengthened the friendship between the two peoples. Last July, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Bolivian President Morales held talk in Brasilia and reached to important consensus about the bilateral relations and overall cooperation between China and Latin America. Assisted by the Chinese side, Bolivia has successfully launched the first Bolivian communication satellite, which marks the fruitful results of bilateral practical cooperation between the two sides.    H.E. Ambassador Chalup gave high value to the development of bilateral relations between Bolivia and China. He also expressed that the cooperation and friendship between the two sides have expanded to a complementary wide ranges, which have huge potentiality. On the occasion, Mr. Wang Chao and H.E. Ambassador Chalup unveiled the first-day cover marking the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Bolivia.

Deputy Director General Met with Ambassador of Barbados to China
  On the 7th July, Mr. Ji Yongjun, Deputy Director General of Department of American and Oceanian Affairs met with H.E.Chelston Brathwaite, Ambassador of Barbados to China. The both sides held a discussion on the cooperation between China and Barbados on arts, education and youth exchange program.

Vice President Xie Yuan Meets with Iowa Agriculture Delegation from the United States
On July 3rd, 2015, Vice President Xie Yuan met with an Iowa Agriculture Delegation led by Mr. Rick Kimberley, owner of the Kimberley Farms Inc. Mr. Xie introduced the general work of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), and the Photo Exhibition Honoring China-US Cooperation in WWII which just ended with a great success recently in Washington DC. Mr. Xie specially recalled China’s then Vice President Xi Jinping’s visit to Iowa in 2012. He said, President Xi’s first visit to Iowa in 1985 and second visit in 2012 had open a gate for all-round communication between China and the State of Iowa. President Xi’s deep and profound friendship with the Iowa people has become a much-told story in China-US people’s friendship. Mr. Xie said that he is glad to see the increasing exchanges in different fields between China and Iowa, especially in the field of agriculture. CPAFFC will continue to enhance the communication between China’s local government and the State of Iowa and promote the friendship exchanges between the two sides. Kimberley thanked Xie for meeting with the delegation. He was honored to coordinate with Vice President Xi’s visit to Iowa in 2012 and glad to contribute in to the much-told story in China-US friendship. Mr. Swallow Yan, Executive Director of the Chinese Association of Iowa (CAI), expressed his gratitude for CPAFFC’s long-time support and help. CAI will continue to promote the exchanges betwenn Iowa and China.

Reception in Celebration of 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Singapore Diplomatic Relations held in Beijing
On July 3rd, the CPAFFC and the Embassy of Singapore in China jointly held the reception marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore. Mr. Yu Zhengsheng, Chairman of the National Committee of CPPCC, Dr. Tony Tan Keng Yam, President of Singapore, who was on a state visit to China, and Mrs.President, CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin, Vice President Lin Yi, Mr. Stanley Loh, Ambassador of Singapore to China attended the reception together with more than 400 Chinese and Singaporean guests from all walks of life. Chairman Yu Zhengsheng said in the speech that China and Singapore were close friends and good partners. The two sides have forged the bilateral ties from a strategic and long-term perspective, carried out win-win cooperation in keeping with the national development strategies and found a innovative path of mutual learning and mutual benefit. The China-Singapore relationship was now at the new starting point. The two sides should review and carry forward the friendly and cooperative ties of 25 years, and act in a spirit of “following the tradition, enhancing mutual trust, looking to the future and pursuing win-win cooperation” to push for greater progress. President Tony Tan said that the Singapore-China relationship has made substantial development since the establishment of diplomatic ties. The Singaporean side was willing to enhance the cooperation with the Chinese side to push the bilateral relations to a higher level for the benefit of more opportunities and well-being of the two peoples. Chairman Yu Zhengsheng and President Tony Tan also jointly witnessed the ceremonies of cheque hand-over on the fund-raising for the Ludian Earth Quake by Singapore side as well as the unveiling of the best picture for the photography competition on China-Singapore 25 years’ diplomatic ties.

Vice President Song Jingwu Attends the "Climate &Territories" World Summit in France
  From July 1st to 2nd, at the invitation of Queyranne, parliament chairman of Rh?ne-Alpes, France, vice president Song Jingwu led a delegation of CPAFFC to attend the "Climate &Territories" World Summit in Lyon, France. Vice president Song attended the worldwide mayor roundtable discussion, and expressed China’s commitment to Intended Nationally Determined Contributions and introduced the corresponding measures of China''''s local governments to address climate change; attendees applauded vice president Song’s words. French president Hollande attended the Summit and made a speech on the wish of France to achieve the agreement in The United Nations Climate Change Conference which will be held in Paris on December, 2015. Figueres, executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, and ?EF?OVI?, vice president of European Commission, also participated the Summit.   During the visit in Lyon, accompanied by Labat, the chairman of the Federation of French-Chinese Associations and others, vice president Song and his delegation visited Institut franco-chinois de Lyon Museum, and vice president Song wrote on guestbook: Carry forward the spirit of ancestors, to create new platforms for China-France communication.

Vice President Xie Yuan Meets with Chili Iqueque Media Delegation
  On 2nd July, 2015, Mr. Xie Yuan, vice president of CPAFFC, met with Chili Iqueque media delegation which visits China at the invitation of CPAFFC. Mr. Xie Yuan expressed his warm welcome to the delegation formed by CPAFFC’s old as well as new friends, and briefed them on CPAFFC general work, and also the current situation and problems in Chinese economic development. Moreover, the both sides exchanged in depth their opinions on strengthening cooperation between China and Chili on sports, culture, local government exchanges, etc.

Vice President Lin Yi Attends People-to-People Friendship Forum Marking the 65th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Myanmar
  On July 1st, China-Myanmar Friendship Association(CMFA)and Myanmar-China Friendship Association(MCFA) co-hosted People-to-People Friendship Forum Marking the 65th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Myanmar in Beijing. Vice President Lin Yi of CPAFFC,President Geng Zhiyuan of CMFA,some council members of CMFA, President U Sein Win Aung of MCFA,Ambassador U Thit Linn Ohn of Myanmar to China, as well as the delegation of MCFA ,around 60 people in total, attended the Forum. The theme of the Forum is “The River Never Stops Flowing and the Peoples Share the Water Together.”Ms.Lin Yi said in her speech that CPAFFC and CMFC have held a variety of activities in culture, education, charity, local governments, youth exchanges and other fields, with connecting peoples’ hearts as priority. We believe that under the efforts of the two sides,the two peoples will deepen friendship and cooperation through “never stop flowing exchanges”. Other guests attending the Forum also exchanged views on how to promote mutual understanding and mutual benefit between China and Myanmar.

Deputy Director-General Shen Xin Meets with Lord Davidson of UK House of Lords
  On June 30th, Mr. Shen Xin, Deputy Director-General of European Department, met with Lord Davidson of the UK House of Lords. The two sides exchanged views on a broad range of issues in terms of political, economic, trade, and cultural exchanges. Mr. Shen said that the CPAFFC would like to establish contacts with House of Lords and jointly push forward the exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in related areas. Mr. Shen also proposed that some important delegations visiting UK organized by the CPAFFC might meet with members of the House and other social celebrities so that the two sides could explore opportunities and programs to enhance China-UK friendship. Lord Davidson expressed his willingness to facilitate such contacts and meetings, and said that although China and UK had their own national interests, there were so many areas where the two countries could find common interests and strengthen cooperation.
