CJFA President Tang Jiaxuan Meets with KANSAI ECONOMIC FEDERATION Delegation
Mr. Tang Jiaxuan, President of China-Japan Friendship Association (CJFA) met in Beijing with KANSAI ECONOMIC FEDERATION (KEF) delegation led by Mr. MATSUSHITA MASAYUKI, Vice President of KEF and Vice President of Panasonic Corporation of China on July 12th. They had an in-depth discussion and exchanged their views on the topics of China- Japan relations, Chinese economic situation and China-Japan economy and trade cooperation. Mr. Song Jingwu, Vice President of CPAFFC, was present.
President Tang extended his warm welcome to Mr. MATSUSHITA MASAYUKI for leading the delegation to visit China again. President Tang spoke highly of the KANSAI ECONOMIC FEDERATION for paying attention to the bilateral ties and having faith in promoting the economy and trade cooperation between the two countries as well as showing enthusiasm about it. President Tang hoped that the personages from Japanese economic sector should seize the important opportunity of the Chinese economy increasingly maintaining development at a medium to high speed, catch up the sound momentum of speeding up economic transformation and upgrading, of improving quality and get better structured the Chinese economy. We can commonly lead East Asian Regions cooperation and develop a win-win platform.
Mr. MATSUSHITA MASAYUKI expressed that China and Japan are close neighbors linked by a narrow strip of water. As a close relationship with China, KANSAI ECONOMIC FEDERATION has always engaged in deepening the cooperation in the economic sector of the two countries. It is willing to make active efforts with China to expand the two countries’ economy and trade cooperation and improve the bilateral ties.
Vice President Song Jingwu Meets with the Ambassador of Lithuania
On 11th July, Mr Song Jingwu, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) met with Mrs. Ina Marciulionyte, the Ambassador of Lithuania.
Vice President Song expressed his welcome to Mrs. Marciulionyte for her visiting, and reviewed the exchanges in recent years. Mrs. Marciulionyte pronounced the bilateral relations is not only the relationship between two countries’ government but also the people-to-people relationship.
The two sides also discussed about the issue of the Celebration of 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Baltic Countries and China.
Mrs. Rasa Bubliene, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Lithuania, Mr. Lv Hongwei Deputy Director General of the Department of European Affairs of CPAFFC, attended the meeting.
Vice President Hu Sishe Meest with Morishita Kozo, President of Japan Toei Animation Company
On July 11th ,2016, Vice President Hu Sishe met with Morishita Kozo, president of Japan Toei Animation Company and his delegation. They made in-depth discussion about more exchanges in animation industry between the two countries next year by taking the opportunity of the approaching 45th anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between China and Japan.
Toei Animation Company is the biggest one of its kind in Japan. Many famous animations were produced by this company, such as Saint Seiya, Dragon Balls, Flower Angel, One Piece which also enjoy great popularity in China. Animation masters like Tezuka Osamu, Miyazaki Hayao, Isao Takahata and so on all once worked for the company. Among all the animations introduced from Japan to China, The Dragon Boy, which was brought to screen in China 1979, was the first cartoon series imported to the Chinese mainland. Morishita Kozo, Japanese famous animation producer and director, has been in office as the president of Japan Toei Animation Company since 2014, and has great influence in the industry across Japan and even China.
Vice President Song Jingwu Meets with Ambassador of Georgia
On July 8th, CPAFFC Vice President Song Jingwu met with Mr David Aptsiauri, Ambassador of Georgia.
Vice President Song extended his welcome to Mr Aptsiauri for his visiting to CPAFFC.Mr Aptsiauri informed the CPAFFC of political contacts,economic and trade exchanges and human communication between the two countries,and the working scheme of the Embassy.The two sides discussed the preparations for the Celebration of 20 anniversary of diplomatic relations,cultural and sports exchanges between the two countries.

Reception Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of China-Montenegro Diplomatic Relations Held in Beijing
On July 8, CPAFFC hosted a reception celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between China and Montenegro in Beijing. CPAFFC Vice President Mr. Song Jingwu and the Ambassador of Montenegro to China H.E. Mr. Branko Perovic attended the reception and delivered speeches. Deputy Director General of European Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Chen Guoyou was present.
Mr. Song Jingwu said that recent years have witnessed the benign progress of China-Montenegro bilateral ties, featuring fast and multiple achievements and a sound momentum. China pays high attention to our bilateral relations, and is ready to work with Montenegro for a new decade’s development.
Ambassador Mr. Perovic expressed his appreciation of the reception, saying it showed the great importance China attached to the bilateral relations with Montenegro. He commented that the cooperative achievements in every field during the ten years, especially since the “Belt and Road Initiative” and “16+1” cooperation docking, generated even bigger impetus for China-Montenegro cooperation. Looking forward, he is more than confident about more close cooperation and development of bilateral ties in the next decade.
At the reception, Mr. Song Jingwu and Ambassador Mr. Perovic unveiled together the commemorative envelope of the 10th Anniversary of China-Montenegro Diplomatic Relations. Band from capital art academy brought excellent performance of Chinese traditional instruments. Staff of CPAFFC Mr. Sun Zhenya sang a solo of “Bella Ciao”, the theme song of Bridge the movie, which pushed the reception to a climax.
Deputy Director-General Zhang Ruoning Attends Meeting in the Danish Embassy to China
On July 7th, Ms. Zhang Ruoning, Deputy Director-General of the European-Asian Affairs Department, attended meeting in the Danish Embassy to China, discussing promoting the China Denmark Cooperation on Giant Panda Protection Research and the Inaugural China Denmark Local Government Cooperation Forum with Danish Ambassador to China Anders Carsten Damsgaard and representatives from the State Forestry Administration of China and Chinese Association of Zoological Gardens.
NPC Vice Chairman Zhang Ping Meets with Pedro Pires, Cabo Verdean Former President
H.E. Mr. Zhang Ping, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress met with H.E. Mr. Pedro Pires, Former President of Cabo Verde in Beijing on July 4th, 2016.
Zhang extended his welcome to Pires for leading a delegation to China on the 40th anniversary of China-Cabo Verde diplomatic relations. He said that Pires was not only the founding father of Cabo Verde, but also an old friend of China, who has made great contributions to the steady development of China-Cabo Verde relations. Over the past 40 years, bilateral relations have remained sound and rapid development. China and Cabo Verde have always shown understanding and support on issues concerning each other’s core interests. The recent years have witnessed the remarkable achievements in bilateral pragmatic cooperation and increasingly dynamic people-to-people exchanges. He hoped that with the support of Pires, both sides can further consolidate the foundation of public support to enhance friendship and deepen cooperation.
Pires thanked Zhang for meeting his delegation. He said that Cabo Verde and China enjoyed profound friendship. China provided selfless assistance in Cabo Verde’s struggle for its national independence, as well as practical support to lift Cabo Verde from the least developed countries. China’s principle of non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs has an important and long-term influence on Africa. The commitment China made in the FOCAC Johannesburg Summit last year, is in the interest of African countries. The Cabo Verdean people hope not only to see a more powerful China playing a role of balance in the multi-polar world, but also to enhance cooperation in areas of science and technology, human recourses, security, port, tourism and marine resources between the two countries.

Vice President Song Jingwu Attends the Third Meeting of China-France High-level Culture Communication System and Signs the Cooperation Agreement
The Third Meeting of China-France High-level Culture Communication System was held on June 30. Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong and French Foreign Minister Ayrault hosted the meeting together.
Vice Premier Liu Yandong said, rich achievements have been obtained since the China-France High-level Culture Communication System was established two years ago. The development of the mechanism, expansion of communication and cooperation, and the innovation of content and form were all promoted in these two years. In the future, both of countries should gather wisdom and resources from the people of two countries’, in order to enhance the peoples’ participation, perception and sense of gain, promote the mechanism and long effect of culture communication, develop the cooperation in education, science and technology, culture, heath etc., ultimately to make contribution to the creation of a new era of the close and lasting China-French comprehensive strategic partnership. French Foreign Minister Ayrault said, the development of China-France High-level Culture Communication System is very promising. The system has made great achievements, and become one of the most important parts of China-France relationship. Both sides should value and promote the two countries’ culture communication from a higher level and a wider vision, and make effort to gain more achievements in culture communication cooperation, in order to benefit the people of two countries and face the common challenges together.
After the meeting,Vice Premier Liu Yandong and French Foreign Minister Ayrault signed Joint Statement and witnessed the signing of cooperation documents in culture, heath, education, media etc. At the meeting, CPAFFC, China Culture Administration Society, French International Association for Economic and Cultural Cooperation, and France's Most Beautiful Town Association jointly signed Chinese-French Cooperation Framework Agreement on Beautiful Town Protection and Development. Mr. Song Jingwu, Vice President of CPAFFC, signed the agreement as the representative of CPAFFC. In the future, China and France will cooperate in conservation and restoration of heritage, as well as benign development of historical and cultural ancient villages; meanwhile,both sides will jointly conduct cultural heritage studies and hold relevant exhibitions and promotion activities.
