At the invitation of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organization (VUFO), Mr. Qi Jianguo, Vice President of China-Vietnam Friendship Association and former Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, and Ms. Luan Yutao, Deputy Director General of Department of Asian and African Affairs of CPAFFC, visited Vietnam from 27 April to 2 May, 2015.  They attended activities marking the 40th anniversary of the liberation of South Vietnam and reunification of the entire nation. Altogether 100 international delegates from 42 countries were invited for this event. 

During the visit, the Chinese delegation met with Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phu, Member of Vietnam Communist Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, as well as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city leaders. The Chinese delegates also attended the meeting with international friends, VUFO, and met with reporters from Central Television of Vietnam and other media organizations.
