The press conference for “Charming ASEAN. Approaching China” was held in Fangchenggang city of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on 15 April 2014.  Mr. Qi Jianguo (Executive Council Member of China-ASEAN Association, Vice President of China-Vietnam Friendship Association and former Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam), Mr. Gu Hang (Deputy Director General, Foreign Affairs Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People’s Government), Mr. Zhong Zhaoyong (Head of Information Office of Fangchenggang Municipal People’s Government), Mr. MD Firdaus ABD Rahman (Vice President of Brunei-China Friendship Association), Dato Low Wai Koon (Chairman of Asia Golden Dragon Awards) and representatives from almost 20 media institutions attended the press conference.

 “Charming ASEAN. Approaching China” is initiated by the CPAFFC, China-ASEAN Association and friendship-with-China associations in ASEAN countries, aiming at familiarizing Chinese people with ASEAN features and enhancing China-ASEAN people-to-people exchanges through forums, photo exhibitions and cultural performances.
