The 5th conference of new council of China-Russia Friendship Association (CRFA) was held at Peace Palace in the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) on April 25, 2014. Mr. Chen Yuan, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC),  Mme. Li Xiaolin, President of CPAFFC, Mr. Cheng Guoping, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Chen Haosu, the former President of CRFA and in total about 80 participants including some of the vice presidents, advisers, executive directors and council members of CRFA attended the conference.

Mr. Chen Yuan, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of CPPCC was elected as the new President of CRFA. Mr. Chen Yuan, together with Mme. Li Xiaolin and Mr. Chen Haosu delivered speeches respectively. Mr. Cheng Guoping made a brief presentation about Sino-Russian relations. Mr. Song Jingwu, Secretary General of CRFA presided over the conference and made a report on the work and plan of this conference.
