The Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), the Chinese-African People’s Friendship Association and Gabonese Embassy in China co-organized the 40th Anniversary for the Establishment of China-Gabon Diplomatic Relations in Beijing on Apr. 18th. About 70 Chinese and foreign guests were present at the function, including H.E. Liu Xiaofeng, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, H.E. Liu Jianchao, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Vice President of the CPAFFC Mr. Feng Zuoku said, the cooperative relationship between China and Gabon, which was founded by our older generation of state leaders, withstood the change of international situation, and became even stronger, with achievements of cooperation in different areas. China would love to work with Gabon, to promote the relationship to a new level.

H.E.Jean-Robert Goulongana, Ambassador of Gabon to China highly marked the mutually-beneficial relationship between Gabon and China, which was established on a equal and mutually-respected basis. He thanked the Chinese government and the people for supporting Gabon’s development strategy of becoming an emerging country by 2025. He believed that the prospect of China-Gabon cooperation is good, and the traditional friendship will be enhanced and be turned into a new chapter.
