On April 16th, Ji Bingxuan, Vice Chairman of Standing Committee of National People’s Congress cordially met with the delegation from Alsace Region of France and representatives of the French Foreign Ministry who were visiting China at the CPAFFC’s invitation.

Ji said, with the joint efforts of the national leaders of the both countries, China and France have started a new era with the close and lasting comprehensive strategic partnership, which provides a good opportunity for the local governments of the both countries in exploring new fields of cooperation. Ji highly praised the 4th High-Level Forum on Cooperation of Chinese-French Local Governments held in Alsace Region in last November, and thanked Alsace Region for the warm reception given to him. He admired Alsace Region’s positive attitude about the cooperation with the Chinese local government, and expressed that this visit would promote the exchange and cooperation in fields of economy, trade, science and culture among Alsace Region and the related Chinese Provinces.

The delegation attended the summing-up meeting of 4th High-Level Forum on Cooperation of Chinese-French Local Governments and preparatory meeting of 5th High-Level Forum on Cooperation of Chinese-French Local Governments at the CPAFFC. Before the meetings, CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin met with the delegation. She said, the cooperation of local governments between China and France is an important component of China-France comprehensive strategic partnership. She wished the both sides could collaborated to push the local governments between the two countries to a new climax.
