H.E Mr. Zhang Dejiang, Chairperson of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress (NPC) met with Hon. Mr. Abadulla Gemeda Dago, Speaker of House of People’s Representatives of Ethiopia, who is visiting China at the invitation of CPAFFC on November 6.

Zhang said China and Ethiopia enjoyed solid foundation of traditional friendship and the bilateral relations maintained sound development. The Chinese side is willing to uphold the concept of "sincerity, real results, affinity and good faith" proposed by President Xi Jinping to consolidate the practical cooperation between the two countries and deepen the comprehensive cooperation partnership. China’s NPC is ready to cooperate with Ethiopian congress to strengthen  experience sharing on lawmaking and national governance to create a better legal environment for bilateral economic cooperation,through which to promote the people-to-people cooperation and consolidate the good wishes of the two peoples. 

Abadulla said China supported and helped Ethiopia in many fields in its development. Ethiopia wishes to further promote the development of bilateral relations and share China’s experience on lawmaking and national governance.

CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin, Vice President Feng Zuoku attended the meeting.
