On Oct. 24th, 2014, CPAFFC Vice President Xie Yuan met with H.E. Mr. Jorge Heine, the new ambassador to China of Republic of Chile.

Vice President Xie congratulated Ambassador Heine on his new post in China, and thanked him for his efforts on promoting the non-governmental diplomacy between China and Chile as an old friend of the CPAFFC. Vice President Xie briefed the ambassador about the recent friendship-to-Chile works that CPAFFC has done. He hoped the mechanism of China-Chile friendship cities could play its role to further promote the exchanges and cooperation of the two countries. 

Ambassador Heine thanked Vice President Xie for holding the meeting in his tight schedule. He said, this was his first official call after he presented his credentials to the Chinese President Xi Jinping. He spoke highly of the important role that the CPAFFC played in friendly contact between the two countries, and expressed that the new government of Chile attached great importance to the cooperation of the two local governments between the two countries. He wished to further the connection and deepen the cooperation with the CPAFFC.
