China-U.S. Sister Cities Conference, co-sponsored by CPAFFC and SCI, serves as a platform for communication and interaction between Chinese and U.S. cities. It helps to strengthen pragmatic cooperation, enhance friendship and mutual trust, and promote the development of China-U.S. sister cities relations. During the conference, sub-national government leaders and representatives from all sectors of society from both countries exchange ideas on a wide range of topics, such as trade and economy, education, tourism and sustainable development, and explore potential opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation. The first two sessions of the conference have been held in Washington D.C. in March 2014 and in Chicago in October 2015 respectively. Both of them were listed on the achievements of the China-U.S. Strategic and Economic Dialogue.
