In light of the central government's policy on the rural areas, agriculturefarmerswith a view to contributing to local economic development, the CPAFFC worked with the governments of Sichuan, ChongqingJilin in organizing three Sino-European Agricultural Seminars in Chengdu in 2009, in Chongqing in 2010in Changchun in 2011. The Seminars discussed Sino-European agricultural cooperation. Field tripsmatch making conference were organized for European representatives. The Third Seminar produced the Memo for the Third Sino-European Agricultural Seminar by representatives of six participating parties. The Seminars have enhanced exchangecooperation between Chinaadvanced European economies in policy for rural areas, agricultural science, researchtechnical cooperationhave had strong representationsupport from the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Denmark as well as good feedbacks from both Chineseforeign participants.
