2014 China International Friendship Cities Conference & Guangzhou International Urban Innovation Conference held in Guangzhou

2014 China International Friendship Cities Conference & Guangzhou International Urban Innovation Conference was held in Guangzhou from November 28 to 29. More than 600 representatives from 277 cities and international organizations of 56 countries were present.

Mr. Chen Changzhi, Vice Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee and Chair of the Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. With the theme of Friendship Cities and Urban Innovation, Top Talk of Cities, Urbanization and Smart City, Silk Road and Local Governments Cooperation were held. Cities from China and other countries, which have made contributions the past two years were rewarded. Besides, Exhibition on the History of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Exhibition on China International Friendship Cities were also held during the conference.
