Contribution Prize of China-Japan friendship

The time and aim of setting up the prize
In May, 2011,"the contribution Prize of China-Japan friendship" was set up in the name of the CPAFFC and China -Japan Friendship Association.
In the different historical period of the development of two countries'' relationship after war, especially when our relationship faced with most difficult time, the friendship-with-China organizations and personages in Japan always stood firmly and took the overall situation of the friendship into consideration, they have strengthened  and enhanced the friendly sentiments between the people of our two countries.

The aim is to commend the organizations and personages which make outstanding contributions to the cause of China-Japan friendship. It has significance for mobilizing initiative of friendship-with-China non-governmental organizations to increase mutual understanding between two peoples, deepening friendly sentiments for each other and furthering advanced and steady development of China-Japan relationship

Brief introdution of conferring prize
（1）Conferring prize during Premier Wen Jiabao’s visit to Japan
Premier Wen Jiabao visited Japan in May, 2010. on the first day of his arrival in Japan, Premier Wen commended ten organizations and five personages which made outstanding contributions to the cause of China-Japan friendship and conferred medals and certificates of "Contribution Prize of China-Japan friendship", such as Seven Organizations of China-Japan Friendship, Mrs. Michiko Hirayama. CPAFFC President Chen Haosu and vice-president Jing Dunquan attended the conferring ceremony.
This shows that the Chinese government and leaders attached great importance and showed their sincere wish to strengthen China-Japan friendship.  It has great significance for mobilizing initiative of friendship-with-China non-governmental organizations of various sectors of Japanese society and encouraging more Japanese to devote themselves to the cause of China-Japan friendship

（2）The celebration meeting of the 60th anniversary of Japan-China Friendship Association 
The commemoration meeting of the 60th anniversary of the founding of Japan-China Friendship Association was held in the Great Hall of the People on 15 October, 2010. It was jointly sponsored by the CPAFFC, China-Japan Friendship Association and Japan-China Friendship Association. In order to commend friendly personages of Japan who made contributions for a long time to develop friendly cooperation relationship between two countries, the China-Japan Friendship Association President Song Jian conferred the "Contribution Prize of China-Japan friendship" to the 60 representative personages from Japan-China Friendship Association
