Jiang Jiang congratulated the convening of the forum and said that for a long time, exchanges and cooperation between international sister cities have made positive contributions to upgrading China's level of openness, advancing economic and social development, and enhancing friendship between peoples. The CPAFFC will give full play to its role as the main channel of people-to-people diplomacy, work with Chengdu to make good use of the international sister city cooperation platform, and actively explore new paths for subnational exchanges. Joint efforts will also be made to build a bridge for people-to-people exchanges on multiple fronts, at different levels, in various areas and of multiple dimensions. In parallel, the CPAFFC will facilitate practical cooperation between Chengdu and international sister cities in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, digital economy, green and low-carbon, and smart city. It will enhance cultural exchanges and youth friendship between China and other countries. These concerted efforts will contribute to friendship between the Chinese people and the rest of the world, the development of state-to-state relations, and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
