On April 8, the "China and Thailand, One-Family Bond" friendly exchange event was successfully held at the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). Tie Ning, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress, and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand attended the event.

Tie Ning welcomed Princess Sirindhorn's visit to China, asked her to convey President Xi Jinping's cordial greetings and best wishes to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, and highly appreciated her significant contributions to enhancing China-Thailand friendship. Tie Ning said that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand and the "Golden Jubilee of China-Thailand Friendship," and China is willing to work with Thailand to achieve new progress in the building of a China-Thailand community with a shared future.

Sirindhorn said that she always feels the hospitality and friendship of the Chinese people during her trips to China and she hopes for an enduring friendship between Thailand and China.

During the event, accompanied by President Yang Wanming, Princess Sirindhorn enjoyed with great interest and personally experienced the intangible cultural heritage exhibitions meticulously prepared by eight provinces and cities, including Beijing, Tianjin, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Hubei, Guangdong and Sichuan. Artists from the Beijing Dance Academy and some provinces and cities jointly performed dance, folk music, martial arts, opera and other wonderful programs in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
