During the meeting, President Yang highlighted that Luxembourg is a founding member of the European Union and a valued partner of China. Over the more than 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Luxembourg relations have experienced long-term, steady development, serving as an example of harmonious coexistence and win-win cooperation between countries of different sizes. Recent years have seen frequent high-level exchanges between the two nations. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, bilateral cooperation has made significant progress across various fields. President Yang emphasized that in a rapidly changing and turbulent world, the continued steady development of China-Luxembourg relations demonstrates that the right path forward is one of dialogue over confrontation, openness over seclusion, and connectivity over decoupling. The CPAFFC is committed to working with the Luxembourg to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries. This includes tapping the full potential of people-to-people exchanges, organizing more friendly people-to-people exchange activities, establishing more platforms for practical cooperation at the subnational level, deepening mutual friendship, and reaching new heights in China-Luxembourg relations.

The Luxembourg side praised China for its remarkable achievements in economic and social development, as well as its contribution to world peace and development as a responsible major power. They noted that, despite differences in size, population, and volume, Luxembourg and China have always respected and trusted each other. The two nations have worked together to advance bilateral relations, contribute to stability in EU-China relations, and promote a multi-polar world and economic globalization. The Luxembourg side expressed its strong commitment to practical cooperation with China. They emphasized Luxembourg's role as a bridge between the EU and China and expressed their willingness to continue exploring mutually beneficial cooperation in emerging sectors such as clean energy, smart cities, and cultural tourism. Additionally, they plan to deepen collaboration in traditional fields such as aviation logistics, iron and steel, and finance. These efforts aim to contribute fresh momentum to the growth of Luxembourg-China relations and strengthen EU-China ties.
