On October 10, Yan Dong, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), held a meeting at the CPAFFC with Koji Yamaguchi, President of the Min-On Concert Association.
Yan Dong welcomed Yamaguchi's first visit to China as President of the Min-On Concert Association and his participation in the China International Friendship Conference and Events Marking the 70th Anniversary of the CPAFFC. He commended the Min-On Concert Association for its tireless efforts over the past five decades in fostering cultural exchanges between China and Japan. He expressed hope for continued collaboration, emphasizing the role of culture as a bridge to deepen mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
Yamaguchi warmly celebrated the 70th anniversary of the CPAFFC and praised its unique role in strengthening people-to-people connections between China and the world. He reaffirmed his commitment to working with the CPAFFC to open a new chapter in people-to-people cultural exchanges between China and Japan.
The two sides also discussed the upcoming tour of the Chinese dance drama Crested Ibises to Japan next year, as well as prospects for future cooperation.
