On May 11, 2017, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) held a reception in Beijing to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between China and Slovenia. Mr. Qiangba Puncog, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Mr. Wang Chao, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Mr. Song Jingwu, Vice President of CPAFFC, and Mr. Janez Premoze, Slovenian Ambassador to China, attended the reception.

Vice President Song Jingwu and Ambassador Mr. Premoze delivered speeches respectively at the reception. Vice Chairman Qiangba Puncog, and Ambassador Mr. Premoze jointly unveiled the commemorative envelope marking the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Around 80 people including leaders from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, and former Chinese ambassadors to Slovenia, diplomats from Slovenian Embassy in China, representatives from all walks of life and media, attended the reception.
