The Chinese Character Exhibition was held on January 13th at JNU, India and on 17th at Dhaka University, Bangladesh, co-organized by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), National Museum of Chinese Writing (NMCW), Anyang Municipal Government of Henan Province, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Bangladesh-China People’s Friendship Association (BCPFA).
On 13th, Chinese Ambassador to India H.E. Le Yucheng, JNU Vice-Chancellor Professor S. K. Sopory, Deputy Director-General of Cultural Exchange Department of CPAFFC Mr. Ji Wei, Deputy Executive Director of NMCW Mr. Feng Kejian, Dr. Kapila Vatsyayan, Chairperson of Center for Chinese and Southeast Asian Studies (CCSAS) of JNU Dr. Hemant Adlakha, and Prof. Shukla Sawant from School of Arts and Aesthetics of JNU attended the inaugural ceremony and gave addresses.

During the visit in India, the Chinese delegation paid a visit to Dr. Avijit Banerjee, Head of Cheena Bhavana (Institute of Chinese Language and Culture), Visva-Bharati, founded by Rabindranath Tagore and Professor Tan Yunshan in 1937.
On 17th, the exhibition was held at Dhaka University. Minister of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of Bangladesh H.E. Mr. Hasanul Haque Inu M.P., Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh H.E. Mr. Ma Mingqiang, Acting president of BCPFA Mr. Bashirullah, Secretary General of BCPFA Md. Shahriar Zaman Shuman, Former President of BCPFA Mr. Anwarul Amin, and eminent artist Mr. Rafiqun Nabi delivered remarks at the opening ceremony at the university.
