Secretary General Li Xikui Attends Exchanging Ceremony of Memorandum on Assisting Beijing-Zhangjiakou Olympic Winter Games between CPAFFC and Nagano Prefecture

On December 14th, Mr. Li Xikui, Secretary General of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), attended the Exchange Ceremony of Memorandum on Assisting Beijing-Zhangjiakou Olympic Winter Games between CPAFFC and Nagano Prefecture.

Secretary General Li Xikui welcomed Shuichi Abe, Governor of Nagano Prefecture and his delegation. He expressed that the success of Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games needed an extensive support from the world. Nagano Prefecture is the city where1998 Olympic Winter Games was held and has experience of successfully holding the Olympic Winter Games. He hoped that the both sides would take this opportunity to make every effort to cooperate, with the successful experience Nagano Olympic Winter Games and all kinds of other resources to make joint efforts to successfully hold Beijing and Zhangjiakou Olympic Winter Games and further strengthen the exchanges among Nagano Prefecture, Beijing and Hebei Province.

Governor Shuichi Abe has been engaged in enhancing the friendly exchanges between China and Japan for a long time. His enthusiasm of promoting China-Japan friendship comes first of the leaders of the Japanese autonomous administrations. Governor Shuichi Abe has been keeping close contact with the CPAFFC, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Japan and China Radio International (CRI) for many years. He attended China-Japan Governors’ Forum for many times. Under the framework of the Memorandum, Governor Shuichi Abe hoped to develop cooperation with China in various fields and to make contributions to holding Beijing and Zhangjiakou Olympic Winter Games by taking advantage of the Nagano Prefecture’ successful experience.
