On Jan. 6th, 2015, the CPAFFC hosted a banquet for celebrating the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ecuador. Zhang Baowen, Vice-Chairperson of The National People''s Congress (NPC) of the People''s Republic of China, Rafael Correa, President of the Republic of Ecuador, Li Xiaolin, President of the CPAFFC, Qian Hongshan, Assistant Minister of Foreign Ministry of China were present at the banquet.

In his address, Vice-Chairperson Zhang Baowen said, China and Ecuador are friendly countries in tradition. Since the two countries established the diplomatic ties 35 yeas ago, the relations between the two countries has been developing fast and fully; while the mutual political trust is being enhanced constantly. The continuously deepened pragmatic cooperation between the two countries further combined the interest of the two countries. Ecuador has become the most important target country for investment. The scope of cultural exchanges is enlarged as well. Besides, the two countries also collaborate closely in international multilateral mechanisms including UN, and support each other in great issues such as human right. The people’s friendship is developing constantly. 

President Correa delivered a warm speech. He spoke highly of the relations and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries. He said, Ecuador will strengthen the contact with China and further deepen the traditional friendship between the two countries.
