At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), Japan-China Culture Exchange Association (JCCEA) delegation led by Mrs. KURIHARA KOMAKI, the Vice President of JCCEA and the Japanese famous performaning artist, visited Beijing, Yangzhou, Shanghai and other places from May 9 to 13.
On the afternoon of May 9, Vice President Song Jingwu met with the delegation in CPAFFC and extended his warm welcome to them. He also offered his congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the founding of JCCEA. Vice President Song said that JCCEA had made important contributions to promoting the culture exchange between China and Japan, as well as the stable development of Chinese-Japanese relations, since it was established. At present, the bilateral ties are in the crucial period for further improving, which needs people-to-people friendly personages to jointly make efforts and continuously strengthen the social and public support. CPAFFC and China-Japan Friendship Association (CJFA) would like to work together with JCCEA to strengthen the China-Japan culture exchange, enhance the understanding and friendship between the two countries’ people, and promote the friendly cause development continuously.
Mrs. KURIHARA KOMAKI thanked Vice President Song for taking his time to meet them. She said that JCCEA had experienced the 60 years’ glory under the cooperation with CPAFFC and other Chinese organizations and had made contributions to China-Japan cultural and educational exchanges. She also expressed that they would like to take the 60th anniversary as an opportunity to continuously develop the cultural exchanges and make unremitting efforts on the two countries’ friendship.
During the delegation’s stay in China, they also visited Yangzhou, Jiangsu province to attend the departure ceremony of transporting the statue of New JIANZHEN Master to Japan by sea.
