At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), Annastacia Palaszczuk, Queensland Premier of Australia visited China from Sept.27 to 30. In the afternoon of Sept.28, Wan Gang,Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC), met with Premier Palaszczuk in Beijing.
Wan expressed that the Chinese government attached high importance to the strengthening of relations between China and Australia, the two sides enjoyed high level exchanges and received productive results in various fields. In June, the Free Trade Agreement has been signed between China and Australia, which became a new milestone to the mutual cooperation of economy and trade. We hoped the Queensland government would continue to play positive role in enhancing mutual exchanges in economy and trade, energy and mining, high technology and culture as well as between local governments.
Palaszczuk said China was the largest trade partner to Queensland and Queensland would continue to support and expand the comprehensive cooperation with China in aspects of economic and trade investment, science and technology, culture, tourism,etc.
