Wang Qishan, Vice Premier of China meeting with the delegation

At the invitation of CPAFFC and organized by the Council of the Federation of Canada, a delegation of 192 members, including Premiers of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Manitoba, British Colombia, Prince Edward Island, Alberta, Northwest Territories and Yukon, government officials, business leaders and scholars from these Provinces and Territories, visited China from September 13 to 21. The delegation visited Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan and Shanghai Vice Mayor Ai Baojun met with the delegation. The delegation also met with officials from National Development and Reform Commission, State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Committee, Ministry of Commerce, and State Oceanic Affairs Administration. Some paid visit to their sister provinces in China. This visit further promotes friendly exchanges and pragmatic cooperation between China and Canada at the local government level.
