On the afternoon of October 17th, Mr. Song Jingwu, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), met with Chinese and Japanese youth ambassadors delegation which consisted of senior high school students from two countries. Mr. Cheng Haibo, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Japanese Affairs of CPAFFC, Mr. Gao Zhiyong, Deputy Director-General of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, Mr. YOKOO HIROSHI, President of Aeon Group 1% Club, attended the meeting.
Vice president Song welcomed Chinese and Japanese youth ambassadors to CPAFFC. He said that people-to-people friendship is the fine tradition of the Sino-Japanese relations. The foundation of the friendship between China and Japan is among the people-to-people, and the hope is in the youth. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations. This achievement had obtained is inseparable from the old generation’s unremitting efforts. The bright future of the bilateral relations need to be made also by the youths of the two countries with fixed belief and joining hands. He hoped that these students could attach importance to and cherish this mutual exchange opportunity of the youth ambassadors between the two countries as well as make active contribution to the cause of Sino-Japanese friendship through their actions in future.
President YOKOO HIROSHI said,until now, over 2000 senior high students of the two countries had already exchanged each other through Japanese and Chinese youth ambassadors program, which was regarded as one of the important parts of exchanges with China for Aeon Group and effectively enhanced the mutual understanding and friendly feeling of the youth between China and Japan. In future, Aeon Group will commit to the exchange of the youth of the two countries as before and train the successors for the cause of Sino-Japanese friendship.
Vice President Song made an introduction about the situation of the people-to-people exchanges CPAFFC had developed with Japan and answered the questions raised by Chinese and Japanese youth ambassadors.
