At the invitation of the Korea Foundation and Korea-China Friendship Association, a 180-member delegation of Chinese young envoys of friendship, headed by Mr. Hu Sishe, Vice President of CPAFFC, paid a visit to the Republic of Korea from 16-23 June 2014. The delegation members included young public servants from central departments as well as from Beijing, Hebei, Guangxi, Tibet, Shaanxi and Qinghai in China.
Under the theme of “Travel of Sympathy Korea”, Chinese delegation visited Seoul, Cheonan, Cheongju, Busan and Jeju. They attended the lecture on China-ROK relations at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the seminar on China-ROK public servants, and inspected cultural facilities as well as SAMSUNG and other well-known enterprises. This visit gave Chinese delegates more understanding of Korean culture, tradition, social development and professional dedication, provoking thoughts on common historical experience and sense of duty for further consolidation of China-ROK friendship.
The program of visiting ROK by Chinese young envoys of friendship was initiated by the CPAFFC, China-Korea Friendship Association and the Korea Foundation. Altogether 1700 people in ten delegations have been sent to Korea since 2009.
