Vice President Shen extended a warm welcome to Governor Jorginho Mello's visit to China and remarked that Brazil, with its vast territory, stunning landscapes, and rich cultural diversity, is a country beloved by the Chinese people. With the high-level development of bilateral relations, in recent years, an increasing number of Chinese enterprises have invested in Brazil, and practical cooperation between the two countries has been continuously upgraded. The hope for China-Brazil relations lies in the people, its foundation is in the two societies, and its vitality comes from exchanges at subnational levels. The CPAFFC is committed to working with all Brazilian states and cities, including Santa Catarina, to promote the establishment of subnational government exchange mechanisms and the China-Brazil friendship cities/provinces ties, thus contributing subnational and people's strength to the building of a China-Brazil community with a shared future.

Governor Jorginho Mello highly praised China's strategic value as an important partner of both Santa Catarina and Brazil. He noted that, Santa Catarina ranks among the leading states in Brazil in terms of economic development, with the most innovative industrial ecosystem in the country. Santa Catarina also boasts significant competitiveness in fields such as agricultural technology, infrastructure development, livestock breeding, and ecological environmental protection. Looking ahead, Santa Catarina hopes to strengthen its relationship with the CPAFFC, further deepen economic and trade cooperation with China, and bring more tangible benefits to two peoples.
